We are mobile only. Our shop is in our truck and it comes straight to your home or business. We are fully insured meaning GL, CA and WC. We will provide proof upon request. If you need to be a certificate holder, please call to submit this request. We are bonded. We also have been certified through 2 of the top ranked lock, safe and security academies in the country. We have over 40 certifications covering residential and commercial lock and safe work including fire and life safety codes. We are rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau. We have attained many accounts that send us work every week. Don't be fooled by our name EAST COBB LOCK AND SAFE, while it was our initial plan to only serve EAST COBB, and we still do a lot of work in that area, our coverage area is the entire state of Georgia and even out of state. Sometimes we get calls for Tennessee, Alabama and Savanah Georgia. You will need to get a quote on these locations as this is out of our standard coverage area. Typically, these calls are from established accounts.
We can handle small jobs like residential lockouts to big jobs like master keying a 90-door building on a 5-step system. For residential we recommend high security locks paired with door frame reinforcement! This will prevent kick-ins and lock defeats! We are proficient in door hardware. For commercial you want to make sure you have single motion egress hardware installed. Levers should have a return on them so the fire fighters' hose will not get stuck! We see residential hardware installed in commercial settings probably because it's cheaper but, this is not up to code, and we will not get involved with that! Doorknobs are great for residential but not commercial. Commercial non fire doors should be able to be opened with a closed fist using 5lbs of force! Double sided keypad/cylinder locks are a violation on emergency exit doors and doors between emergency exit doors. Almost all exit doors should be able to swing outward allowing for fast and safe evacuation. When it comes to safe openings, we charge based on what type of safe it is being opened. Not all safes are created equal therefore the price does vary. Our price is also based on whether someone else has already worked on it, the location of the safe, the burglary rating and what has caused the lockout. For instance, a B-Rate drop safe will not cost the same to open as a TRTL-30 X 6. We are safe opening professionals. Most safes we get open can be repaired back stronger than they were before. After the safe has been opened, it would take a professional safecracker to even know that we drilled it. We will repair any safe we can but, sometimes they are not able to be. A safe that had a burglary attempt on it or an unqualified individual worked on may not be able to be repaired! We are a certified GSA Safe and Vault Technician including inspections!
